How the league works

  • One season per month. It ends on the last day of the month at 23:59 UTC; the next one starts straight away.
  • Every division has its own table. Beginner, Intermediate and Expert are ranked separately.
  • League rating. It moves exactly like your ELO rating after each ranked match, but everyone restarts from 1200 at the start of a season.
  • Getting on the table. Play 5 ranked matches in a division this month to appear in its standings.
  • Season badges. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place earn the Champion, Silver and Bronze badges, places 4–10 a Top 10 badge — with at least 20 ranked matches in that division. See all badges and achievements.

Sudoku league FAQ

What is the SC League?

The SC League is a monthly sudoku league on Sudoku Corner. Every ranked 1v1 match you play counts toward your league rating in that division, and the table shows who is on top this month.

When does a season start and end?

A season runs for one calendar month and ends on the last day of the month at 23:59 UTC. Then the final standings are saved, badges are awarded and everyone starts the new month from 1200.

How do I get into the league table?

Play 5 ranked matches in a division during the month and you appear in that table. Every division — Beginner, Intermediate and Expert — has its own table.

What can I win?

Places 1, 2 and 3 earn the Champion, Silver and Bronze badges; places 4 to 10 earn a Top 10 badge. To receive a season badge you need at least 20 ranked matches in that division that month.

Is the league rating the same as my ELO?

Both move by the same amount after each match, but your global ELO never resets while the league rating starts again every month — so every season is a fresh race.
